A friend of the same Dionysian pursuits as I recommended La Lucciola Restaurant in Semanyak Bali.
I ventured there in 1997, immediately enthralled with the food, wine, music, nature, conversation and thought. Its inspiration stayed with me for many years in the form of my exhibitions.
There have been many tranquil, introspective moments since, sitting on the deck, listening to the crash of the surf and watching kites dance in the sky.
La Lucciola after lunch is without doubt one of my favourite places to be on this extraordinary planet.
