To witness the ferocity of the Australian summer is a unique experience. Day after day the temperatures climb well over 40 degrees Celsius, roads melt and the skies are so blue and bright that one can barely open one’s eyes.
Mirages form and shimmer over the trees and houses suffering the full fury of the southern summer sun, transforming them into an array of colours. And in these moments there is only one refuge: water.
The water dances, transformed like a saviour, mocking the fiercest efforts of the sun, and it is here that one finds one’s peace amidst the hellfire of nature’s extraordinary display.
